100 MW Khazrabad II Solar Power Plant Project
The Khazrabad II 100 MW solar power plant project has been defined with the objective of expanding renewable energy and in line with the President’s emphasis on increasing the use of clean energy resources. The power plant will be constructed on a site of approximately 150 hectares adjacent to the 100 MW “Forough Kavir” solar power plant.
The project is planned to be implemented under the EPCF (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Financing) model. Currently, the process of obtaining the construction permit for the power plant, environmental approvals, and land‑related permits is underway.
The project is now in the preparation phase for the groundbreaking ceremony, and several key preparatory actions have been completed. These include the preparation and approval of tender documents and obtaining approval from the Transaction Commission of Chadormalu Energy Development Company to hold a tender for contractor selection. In addition, preliminary approval has been obtained for connecting the power plant to the electricity grid through the Shahid Samaei 63 kV substation. Furthermore, the transmission line route has been determined, and the official land site map has been obtained from the Agricultural Engineering Organization.
